Meditation & Art

Connection

Join a donation-based container where meditation and intuitive creative expression meet. Together, we open our hearts, cultivate presence, and honor whatever arises through stillness, art, and reflection. Each gathering flows from heart-centered arrival and settling to guided meditation, a meditative 30-minute creative period, and mindful sharing—allowing awareness and expression to unfold naturally.

🪞 About the Group

This group is a welcoming, heart-centered space to share in sacred connection through meditation, art process, self-inquiry, reflection, and mindfulness through creative flow.

We come together to tend to presence through meditation and mindful art-making—whether through painting, poetry, music, or any creative medium that helps you connect to your essence. After a brief arrival and settling period and a 10-minute guided meditation, we enter a collective 30-minute creative period held in shared silence, inviting awareness and expression to unfold through process rather than conversation. We then gather for mindful sharing and reflection (12–13 minutes) before a short closing.

We refrain from advice-giving, fixing, or teaching. Instead, we hold quiet intention to be with what arises and open to the collective heart.

Bring: your creative supplies—utensils and journal for poetry or writing, sketchbook, crafts, nature elements, collage, instrument/voice…etc. If you’d like to share your music during the sharing portion, please plan for acoustic or live performance only (digital recordings will not be sharable for time-sake), and make sure your Zoom settings are prepared before the session for optimal sound. Keep pieces short, volume moderate, and mute your microphone while others are sharing.

No art, writing, or music experience is needed—simply bring your presence and willingness to connect with whatever arises.

To nurture a sense of presence and visual connection, cameras on are strongly encouraged throughout the entirety of the gathering. Feel free to turn your camera off during the meditation period.

💠 Group Guidelines & Agreements

  • Please plan to arrive a few minutes early or right on the hour so we can begin together in presence. Admittance ends one minute after the session start time. Our welcoming, settling, orientation, and meditation are key parts of the process. To honor the intention of the container, please don’t assume that late entry will be possible.

If you anticipate being late, please let me know as early as possible so I can try to accommodate within the first few minutes of the start time. After meditation begins, entry is closed to all others for the remainder of the session. If late entry is permitted, please enter quietly with your microphone muted and be prepared to center and settle in.

  • Gatherings are not recorded without prior confirmation and full consent. Please do not record sessions under any circumstances.

  • All are welcome. We practice loving-kindness (metta) and non-violence (ahimsa) toward all beings—regardless of background, belief, or identity.

  • Cameras on are encouraged to help us feel each other’s presence, but your autonomy is respected. Please remain muted during meditations and creative time.

  • This group is not a substitute for therapy, trauma treatment, or addiction counseling. If you are in need of professional support, please reach out to an appropriate licensed resource.

  • If you have accessibility needs, please reach out and I will do my best to accomodate them.

🎨 Group Framework (60 Minutes)

1. Arrival & Settling (5 min)
Welcome, brief orientation, and space setup.
Short introductions or silent intention-setting.

2. Centering Meditation (10 min)
Guided meditation to ground, arrive, and set your intention for the creative process.

3. Creative Process (30 min)
Quiet personal exploration with your chosen medium.
Microphones remain muted during this time to preserve the meditative environment & creative process.

4. Sharing & Connection (12–13 min)
Share your artwork, poetry, or reflections. Together, we create space for whatever wants to be expressed—whether about your process, your creations, or something entirely different. Sharing can take the form of volunteering, round-robin, or small breakout groups. Choose what feels best to share, and engage with the space in presence and mindful attention.

We tend to the group through mindful listening and sharing from heart-centered presence—refraining from fixing or offering advice unless requested.

5. Closing Reflection (2–3 min)
A word, a breath, or silent gratitude to close the circle together.

(Example time: 1:00–2:00 PM)
